This is my niece Taylor. She is 12 now and a great softball player. She has been playing for a while now..since she could walk I think. Actually, her dad worked with her for a LONG time to become as good as she is. I thought she was a catcher, but from the stats on the team, I see she has been pitching. Every team needs a good catcher and a good pitcher, so maybe there's job security.
Her team is apparently doing really well. I'd like to say she takes after MY side, but it's been a while since I've played softball. It was one of my favorite sports growing up, after I grew up (oh wait, I don't think I ever did).
I'm really proud of her and wish her continued success...behind every successful athlete is a parent, or parents, that spend countless hours (not to mention money) taking them to practices, tournaments, games, etc. So to all the parents of athletes, I salute your dedication, perseverence and love!!
