Well, we did it! We put a contract on this house yesterday afternoon and should know by tonight whether or not the sellers are interested. Our offer was well below their asking price, but we offered what we felt was comfortable financially for us both. We did find out from the listing agent that the owners have already built a new house and go to closing at the end of March, so they’re a bit desperate to sell. So I guess we’ll see what happens.
The top left picture is the dining room (where my piano would go), and the other pics show you the living room. The fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and glass block at the top of the stairs (which you can see in the upper righthand picture) are some of my favorite features.
This is the weekend we had originally planned to go to Sante Fe, but with things so up in the air with the house, plus bad weather (we got about 5 more inches of snow yesterday!) we decided to can the trip. So does everyone have a 3 day weekend? How are you spending it?!
